[PODCAST] Get Your Capital Campaign Toolkit Set and Ready!
Is Your Capital Campaign Toolkit Set and Ready?
A capital campaign may sound intimidating, but it doesn’t need to be. In today’s episode, Katie interviews Amy Eisenstein, the CEO of The Capital Campaign Toolkit and a veteran fundraiser. If you’re wondering how much, who to start with, or where to begin, this episode will equip and inspire you to take the next step toward a successful campaign.
Capital Campaigns Are About Transformational Change
Knowing when to launch a campaign and how much to set as your goal can feel like moving targets. Amy clarifies by explaining that a capital campaign should result in a transformational change to your cause. Raising funds for maintenance and repairs is not transformational. A new program or additional capacity to serve are examples of transformational goals.
Is it feasible to do your feasibility study?
With the expertise of a career dedicated to capital fundraising, Amy lends a fresh perspective to the campaign preparation process, including feasibility studies. She shares how her business has a method of training nonprofit leadership and fundraising staff to conduct their feasibility studies. In doing so, the nonprofits retain the relationship and learn first-hand what their supporters and community stakeholders think and feel about their campaign.
